ACIR Overview
Purpose & Goals
The purpose of the American Center for Islamic Research shall be to serve Allah (God) in the best way possible through the principles laid out in the Quran and Sunnah.
The ACIR will work to fulfill this purpose by:
o Providing a legitimate source for Muslim Minority Fiqh research
o Providing a simple, elementary guide to Fiqh for reverts
o Helping Muslims live according to their deen uncompromisingly, while fulfilling their roles as members of society.
o Addressing misconceptions and extremism
o Emphasizing moderation and balance as a way of life
o Teaching through intensive programs and workshops
o Building bridges with non-Muslims
o Providing Fatwa
Affiliations
The ACIR is an independent organization, which shall collaborate with other research institutes in North America and abroad.
Structure and Definition
The ACIR shall be a non-profit organization registered with the state of Michigan, originally, then Ohio, and will consist of a President, Board of Directors, Executive Committee, an Academic Advisory Board, secretary, researchers and an accountant
